HCL plans to hire 20,000-22,000 freshers this year and is looking at hiring 30,000 freshers next year.
The 'First Careers' program under the umbrella of HCL Technologies has just been announced. This comes as good news to the millions of young people who are job hunting in the current scenario. First Careers is an assured job training program that is aimed at new college graduates who are looking for the right first step for their global career in technology and IT Services.
The program trains applicants and equips them with the practical skills, both technical and personality development skills, needed to be successful in their first job. Applicants will learn from experienced professionals how to develop themselves personally and professionally to be successful in the professional world. Training aims at all round success and will go beyond theory with more focus on the practical element. According to the company, The advantage of HCL First Careers program lies in its ability to identify afirst job at HCL, train freshers to be successful in it within 6 months and place them in it at the end of training. The training is inclusive of 3 months online training that can be completed from the comfort of one’s home and 3 months of professional practical training on-site at HCL Technologies.
Program Fee: The program is priced at 1,50,000 plus taxes. Bank loan assistance will also be provided to those applicants desirous of availing of this facility.
Training Expertise: HCL Training and Staffing services, a subsidiary of HCL, will be entirely responsible for conducting the training. Successful applicants who complete the training will go on to be deployed at HCL. Successful candidates can expect to be placed in positions offering as much as 2.75 lakh per annum for starters. B.Sc (IT/ Computer Science), B.Voc (CS/IT/Software Development) and BCA graduates with 0-2 years of experience from Lucknow, Nagpur, Vijayawada and Madurai cities alone can apply. Upon successful completion of the course and selection, these candidates will be trained and placed in their respective cities only.
Eligibility: BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc (IT/ Computer Science) degree holders with 0 to 2 years of professional experience from all regions of India can apply. 65% and above Marks in Class XII and Graduation or Post Graduation is a must. The year of Graduation should be 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. All selected candidates will be trained for IT Engineer roles.
The Selection Process: Candidates will have to register for the training. This will be followed by online counseling and an online aptitude test after which they will be required to face an online interview.
Meanwhile, HCL Technologies posted a 3.7 per cent increase in consolidated profit after tax to ₹3,263 crore for the July-September quarter of this year compared to ₹3,146 crore in the same period a year ago.The company’s consolidated revenue from operations rose by 11 per cent to ₹20,655 crore during the reported quarter from ₹18,594 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2020-21.
